“I agree with the aims of Sikorski’s crusade” – Zaremba in today’s Rzeczpospolita
“Radosław Sikorski has embarked upon a crusade against offensive comments on the internet – writes Piotr Zaremba in today’s Rzeczpospolita daily – I sympathise with his goal. Internet users seem convinced that anything they decide to launch into the ether is untouchable. No press law, considerations of decency – just freedom! … I suggest the following exercise for these ‘spokesmen of a free internet.’ Would you say “that’s fine” if someone put up leaflets about you around your neighbourhood? No, you’d want to hunt the guy down. But the unwilling subjects of online abuse are expected to grit their teeth and bear it in the name of freedom.”
