The publishers of the Wprost weekly have temporarily disabled the option to post comments under articles on wprost24.pl. Michał M. Lisiecki, CEO of AWR Wprost, has declared himself unwilling to give the authors of abusive, vulgar and racist comments access to the forum. He said: “What’s happening in online chatrooms isn’t very different to what’s going on in football stadiums. The number of negative comments will continue to grow if we go on looking the other way, and the tacit acceptance of abusive will mean that some internet users will feel that there really are no boundaries.”
