Poles mustn’t be put off modern Poland
“It is unacceptable for a democratically elected President and government to be refused the right to represent Poland, for Poles to be actively put off Poland, for modern Poland to be referred to as a condominium, a dependent and subordinate state. This simply drains mutual trust within Polish society and trust towards state institutions, and, lest we forget, our social capital was never very high. One can vie for support in a democracy by acting on the positive traits of our national character or on more negative ones, like for instance our lack of trust, which is historically understandable, but still…” – Minister Sikorski said on Radio Zet today. The Minister also commented the killing of Osama Bin Laden and explained his reasons for declaring war on slander and wrongful allegations in internet chatrooms.
